Precision CNC machining & metalworking
Custom parts, built to spec. Since 1989.
Cornerstone is an owner operated machine shop in Eaton, Ohio. Send a drawing and it is reviewed by the person who will run it. We take the short runs, the one offs and the awkward geometry that bigger shops turn away, and we deliver them without drama.

How a job runs
Three steps. No account managers in between.
The quote you get back comes from the shop floor, not a sales desk. That is the whole difference, and it is why the answers are straight.
-
Send your drawing
PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES or STP. A sketch and a conversation works too if the part is not drawn yet.
-
Reviewed and quoted by the people who will machine it
We tell you what will make the part cheaper or faster before you commit, not after the first article fails.
-
Machined and delivered
One shop, one point of contact, from the first chip to the packing list.
What can you send us?
Pick the file you have. We will tell you what the shop can do with it.

Capabilities
What runs through the shop
Milling and turning, prototype through short production run, plus the fabrication, tooling and design work that usually has to be chased across three suppliers.
CNC machining
Milled and turned parts to print, from a single prototype to a repeating production run.
Explore tolerances →4-axis & multi-axis
Features on more than one face in a single setup, so the tolerance stack does not grow with the setup count.
Compare setups →Rapid prototyping & first articles
One part, measured and reported, before anyone commits to a hundred.
Plan an iteration →Custom & metal fabrication
Cut, formed and welded work that finishes on a machine rather than on a bench.
Weld or machine? →Tooling, dies & fixtures
The workholding and the dies that make the next thousand parts repeat.
Fixture economics →3D machining & assembly
Sculptured surfaces, then the parts fitted together and shipped as one assembly.
Watch it assemble →Why shops send us the hard ones
The work bigger shops will not take. Done right.
A large shop is built around long, repeating runs. The moment a job is small, odd or urgent it becomes an exception, and exceptions get quoted high or quoted slow. That job is our normal work.
- A direct line to the floor. One point of contact who knows your part, not a queue of account managers.
- Custom and short run welcome. A quantity of one is a real order here, not a favour.
- We engineer from a concept. In house design in SolidWorks, so a sketch or a broken part can become a drawing and then a part.
- Straight answers. If a feature is going to cost you money for no benefit, you hear it during the quote.

Industries
Where these parts end up
The same cell serves all of them. What changes is the material, the corrosion class and what the inspection has to prove.
Industrial manufacturing
Housings, brackets, spacers and drive components for OEM equipment builders.

Flanges, valve bodies and pump components where a leak path is not an option.

Shafts, manifolds and tooling machined to a drawing and a hardness.

Wetted parts where corrosion class and surface finish qualify the part, not strength alone.

The replacement part, the obsolete component, the fixture nobody else will quote.
